Director of Cardiology (Invasive/Noninvasive Services and Inpatient Units)

The Director of Cardiology Services is responsible and accountable for both the clinical quality and financial viability of the cardiac service line, including Diagnostic Cardiac testing sites, Cardiac Cath Labs, Electrophysiology Labs, associated Prep and Recovery (Admit Recovery Unit) and inpatient units providing cardiac care throughout the care continuum.
Provides subject matter leadership and visibility across all organizational boundaries.
Responsibility includes the vision, direction, management and coordination of clinical invasive and diagnostic cardiac/vascular service operations throughout the continuum of care; development of business decisions; coordination and facilitation of marketing, public relations and financial results.
Position Requirements KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED Master's degree in Nursing or BS degree in Nursing or related healthcare field and a minimum of five (5) years nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Good written and oral communication skills.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED Two (2) years clinical experience in specialty.
